Ideally you should begin your lessons between 6 to 7 weeks before your wedding. If you have less time we will endeavour to arrange lessons to suit the shorter timescale.
Try and contact us at least 4 weeks before you would like your dance lessons to start. This will give us plenty of time to ensure we have a wedding dance teacher available to you. Again, if you have less time we will endeavour to arrange lessons to suit the shorter timescale.
A 1 hour Trial Lesson is £70.00. Our 2 hour package is £130.00. If you book 3 or more hours then the lessons work out at a max of £60.00/hour.
Lessons are normally between 1 and 2 hours long. A five hour package is normally arranged over 3 sessions (2 x 1.5 hour lessons and 1 x 2 hour lesson), ideally with lessons spaced apart by at least a week to allow plenty of time for practice inbetween. Over 2 hours in one lesson and you’re going to get a little tired as dancing can be pretty energetic.
To learn a full routine we have found that the optimum amount of time is 5 hours, as we have found that it takes this long to create the perfect routine. However, you may have as few or as many hours as you like. Have a look at our wedding dance lesson packages. If you have less than 5 hours of lessons you are unlikely to be able to complete a whole routine though.
Please take a look at our First Dance UK Booking page. You will need to complete our secure online booking form. On completing the form you will be given a secure login to our booking system to fill out the rest of the information we require to organise your lessons. You will be contacted by phone and/or email through each of the stages of the booking process.
A deposit is required after you complete your booking form. The final balance is then due prior to you starting your lessons. You will automatically receive an invoice for the final amount by email. You’ll receive a receipt by email each time you make a payment. You can pay over the telephone by credit/debit card, online by PayPal or BACS, or by cheque.
The lessons are held in the comfort of your own home. We travel to you!
If you can stand an arm’s length apart and go around in a circle, you have enough room. More room is obviously beneficial though. In good weather you can even dance outside if you like!
If you have friends or family nearby we can hold the lessons there. Also office meeting rooms, school/community halls, gyms and dance studio are all no problem. They can be hired from as little as £15/hour. We are happy to hold the lessons anywhere suitable. If you’re going to book a room or studio you can let us know on your booking form once you’ve purchased your dance package.
Lessons are normally held in the evenings and at weekends, as this seems to be most convenient for our couples. Daytime is naturally also not a problem.
Yes, more than likely. We have wedding dance teachers based throughout the UK.
Anything comfortable that doesn’t restrict your movement. Ideally the bride will be able to wear shoes similar to her wedding shoes for at least one of the latter lessons.
Absolutely! Our choreographers are experienced working with couples who have no dance experience at all. They will happily guide you through every step until you are completely comfortable, and have a routine that suits you and your wants & capabilities.
